Mission: Clothe Your Neighbor as Yourself exists to provide the materially poor with the clothing they need to advance socially and/or economically.
For every shirt you purchase, we will clothe someone in need.
Sometimes that’s an orphan in Kenya who needs a uniform to attend school, a single mom in government housing who needs help paying for diapers, a person who lives on the streets and could use a new pair of shoes, or an ex-convict who needs a dress-shirt and tie to land a job.
We want to expand an understanding of “community” by redefining “neighbor.”
Our intention was never to become a full throttle, non-profit, organization. However, as people like yourself bought into the vision of CYNY, our ability to provide for the needy grew and our understanding of how clothing can bring about socioeconomic change expanded. We started to ask ourselves, “Who is our neighbor?” and with that, we erased the lines between countries and adopted the idea of a global neighborhood.
